SharePoint 2010 – Current iPhone User Experience

by Oscar 2. December 2009 16:59

While working on SharePoint 2010, I thought it would be interesting to view some of the pages via my iPhone.  Not all pages have a mobile view, but one can also use the query string “?mobile=1”.  Also, I believe there is a server-side function that may allow developers to render a page in mobile view!

I am using NTLM authentication on this sample site (the infamous fictitious Contoso, hey at least is not Fabrikam!)

The following screenshots show you the a partial experience.  I purposefully made this post short and sweet so I am not covering every detail…

This page shows all the Document Libraries, Lists and Sub-sites (see figure 4)

Calendar List Views on the iPhone look decent, you can filter on most Lists as well!

This post is short and sweet, but thought I’d share this!

Amazing post. There's a lot of good info here, although I want inform you one thing - I'm utilizing windows 7 using the latest beta of Firefox, the look and feel of the site is sort of quirky for me. I can understand the post, but the navigation does not work so great for me.

Checking into a more indepth review into an iPhone beyond all the hype and glamour, customers who bought the phone are now realizing that their new phone is coming out to be an awesome expensive paperweight.    With dropped calls and data attempts are now occuring a lot more frequently, it is inevitablely turning out to be a strange antenna issue straight from Apple.   There was a class action lawsuit filed only 6 days after launch accusing ATT and Apple on numerous terms of actions.
